Background & Artistic Journey

As the Founder of Smile Sweet Sunflower LLC and the creator of Time2Bloom, I blend creativity with strategic vision to deliver impactful projects that merge visual artistry with philosophical storytelling. Known in the artistic realm as Melissa Allegories, I focus on creating art that nurtures human potential, fosters growth, and promotes personal transformation. My work is dedicated to ethical principles, collective consciousness, and positive social change.

Naturally inclined to prose, I work best with structure. However, in the depths of despair, I have turned to poetry as a solace and a way to express the ineffable. Four years ago, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself drenched in stanza and began writing fragments of poetry.

Turning to Poetry

My passion for creativity and the pursuit of truth drives everything I do. When the moment strikes, I will do IT—something that cannot be fully expressed with words. It is a part of me, and one day, it will ripple into humanity. I will keep doing it, provoking human flourishing by being true to myself.

This passion for creativity was reawakened when I took part in Max Stossel’s course on Domestika. This course helped me dive deeper into my motives and reaffirmed my desire to write and illustrate for a living, aiming to create positive social change. One significant piece from this period is “Sacred Spaces Inner Places,” which I wrote for the course “Creative Writing: The Power of Words in the Modern World” by Max Stossel, Poet, Writer, and Filmmaker.

Sacred Spaces Inner Places

Life can be worse.
Life can be better.
I’m just grateful.
I can still write upper- and lower-case letters.
Now more than ever it’s our job to write!
Write on your bedroom floor, right by your bedside.
Write in your sacred spaces or inner places.
Write…
Just write…
Write as you have never done before.
Let your emotions — that energy in motion — soar!
Let it vibrate from your inner core, with love.
Our energy can dance on the ocean grounds,
Like rhythmic waves that keep all sharks at bay.
And the dolphins laugh, as we snicker at the fear we had.
So, dance!
Dance…
Dance until you cannot dance anymore.
Dance!
Dance until you’re floating back to shore.
At last, dream and act like you were just reborn.

Although I don’t consider myself a poet and have no plans to include these fragments of poetry in a magnum opus, I intend to convert them into prose and/or use them as inspiration for my growing narrative, “At the Garden: Unveiling the Secrets of Lében’s Enchanted Realm.”

My approach to art is centered around indirect functional art, which aims to inform, advise, persuade, and reason with spectators to transform them into better beings. This approach encompasses achievements in visual, literary, and performing arts, including videos, films, books, illustrations, and curricula. I create fictitious worlds to communicate secular, ethical, and logical principles, serving humanity through storytelling arts.

I have a knack for simplifying complex ideas by gathering information, distilling key insights, and presenting the big picture through visual and written words. My focus remains on exploring morals and ethics and how they contribute to the greater good. While politics often loses my interest, ethical considerations always captivate me.

Currently, I am working on “At the Garden: Unveiling the Secrets of Lében’s Enchanted Realm,” a narrative that combines visual art with philosophical storytelling. This project serves as a tool for communication and impact, reflecting my commitment to blending art with ethical principles.

Looking ahead, I aim to continue expanding my work in storytelling arts. My goal is to create more fictitious worlds that communicate secular, ethical, and logical principles, thereby contributing to a more compassionate and equitable world.

In all my endeavors, I remain committed to nurturing human potential, fostering growth, and promoting personal transformation through art. By blending creativity with ethical considerations, I hope to inspire others and make a positive impact on the world.
